
A Pride. Of Ponicorns.

Created in conjunction with T&Pm Global agency for Skittles Australia (Mars Wrigley Australia) to clelbrate Pride week with Skilltes. Giving back to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Many corporations are guilty of Pride washing their comms during the lead up to Pride. They change their favicon to a rainbow for a few weeks.
Not Skittles. They wanted to reallocate a portion of their marketing budget to do some good in the LGBTQIA+ community. So they made a sizable donation to Minus18. Which left the marketing budget considerably lighter than normal, so we came up with a way to communicate Skittles pride by doing things on a budget: A budget unicorn (Ponicorn), budget chonky animated socials and a stripped back website, showing how Skittles’ rainbow wasn’t the important one this month, but Pride’s is.

Giving back the rainbow to our LGBTQIA+ community by donating to Minus18 and telling the story via super simple messaging and monotone comm’s made for a stark difference to their usual style, whilst remaining right on brand for Skittles.
